Your elementary students can do text-based coding! Using programs like Bitsbox, the transition from Blockly coding can be successful. 3rd through 5th grade students can complete meaningful lessons to increase their knowledge of CS while learning the importance of syntax. Using the javascript language, this program can teach a variety of CS topics such as coordinates, variables, conditionals, functions, and loops.
